New York Travel Show, 2012

Last March we ventured to the Big Apple to tell the Copper Canyon story at the annual New York Times Travel show at the Javvits Center along the Hudson River. It was a great show and the New York crowd was huge. This one is a good travel show for us since the people who come have travel experience and the time of year is perfect. Also this show lasts 3 days and this makes it more worthwhile to go.

New York City in March

Yes we contacted many people with the Copper Canyon train story and yes we saw folks we had met in years past. So the show was a business builder.

But another very good aspect of the trip was just to be in New York in the springtime. To walk the streets before the real tourist season in New York. To lay on the big rocks in the morning sun on a cool spring morning. To catch 2 Broadway plays. Great times!

2013 New York Times Travel Show

So yes…we expect to work with the Mexico Tourism Board in New York crew again and be at the 2013 show. And we look forward to seeing guests and contacts from previous years. The dates are a little earlier next year- January 18-20- still three good days!
