Food Book Offer from Lonely Planet

I just received a “3 for 2” offer for Lonely Planet guidebooks and I would highly recommend it. The books are not overpriced anyway and their quality to foodies is unsurpassed. Even their phrasebooks are packed with valuable food info.

Here is an example from my travels last week in Mexico City. We are putting together small group trips to Mexico City now and we want them all to be brimming with the excellent food options there. So I took the Mexico City guidebook and hit the streets. Here are two places I discovered:

Cafe el Popular in Mexico City.

The little Café el Popular has great little meals at good prices. The tea and homemade rolls are even a treat.

Mexico City torta

The tiny and vintage Casa de Pavo in the historic district of Mexico City is an excellent stop for lunch –all turkey all the time!
